Critter Haven is a non-profit shelter where dogs from Erie County, Pennsylvania go when they are lost. It is our mission at Critter Haven to reunite lost dogs with their families or adopt them out to other loving homes. Critter Haven is housed within Summit Pet Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania.  If you would like to see a list of the adoptable dogs we currently have available, please click on the "Adoptable Dogs" tab above.

How can you help?
Critter Haven can benefit or thrive from donations from the general public. Even though we are under the supervision of Summit Pet Hospital, the cost of medical supplies, food, monthly utilities, and rent are our expense. Any donation is tax deductible and greatly appreciated. In lieu of money, we will happily take other items as well.  For a complete list of the items we need and more information on donating, click on the "Donations" tab above, or CLICK HERE.

For information about Critter Haven's hours of operation and directions on how to find us, please click on the "Location & Hours" button, or CLICK HERE.

Questions, comments or concerns may be addressed by clicking the "Contact Us" button, or CLICK HERE.

The Shelter is Closing!
We only have a few more dogs to go before Critter Haven closes.  Please try to find it in your heart to adopt one of these guys, as their time is limited.

Check out our new videos!

If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many is a video worth?  We have posted a few videos of our available dogs on YouTube so that people will be able to get a better taste of our dogs' personalities before they come visit.  The links to these videos are listed on our "Adoptable Dogs" page under each dog's picture and description.
